This presentation is in the scholarly manner of a museum record, albeit with fine color illustrations of each object.
A sumptuous work of art in itself.

Unlikely to become a standard reference work, brimming over with colored plates, and cheap!. The low price was worth the laughs provided by the Lenin portrait rugs.

Typical offering from the Swiss dealer. Reproduction quality varies; the rugs represented are good, mostly of the most popular types.

Caucasian Rugs

Seventy rugs, flatweaves, and embroideries, some from the museum's collection, others borrowed from private collections. The pieces are for the most part predictable and are colored darkly.
