A KIRMANSHAH CARPET
WEST PERSIA, CIRCA 1880

The shaded pale sandy yellow field with diagonal rows cypress trees flanked by a variety of other flowering trees and shrubs together with paired perching birds, black currant-red flowerhead and serrated leaf border between charcoal-black angular floral and minor raspberry-red and sandy yellow similar stripes, corroded black, a few areas of slight wear.
