NORTH WEST PERSIA, ClRCA 1890

The ivory field with four scrolling tendrils terminating in palmettes issuing from an ivory lozenge medallion with flowerhead pendants containing floral sprays radiating from a shaded fox-brown gabled medallion outlined by blue arabesques and enclosing flowerheads, the linked ivory spandrels with angular arabesques and flowering vine, a similar fox-brown panel in each corner, in a shaded blue flowerhead and angular serrated leaf border between ivory leafy meander stripes, a few areas of very slight wear, slight repair at each end, selvages replaced.
