WEST ANATOLIA, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY

The shaded tomato-red field scattered with small flowerheads and rosettes around four hooked concentric octagonal panels with central flowerheads flanking a large central concentric hooked indigo panel containing hooked floral motifs and panels and framed by kotchak motif bands, in a tomato-red border of diagonal panels containing rosettes between ivory radiating flowerhead, golden yellow stellar flowerhead meander, and panelled floral stripes, a kilim strip at each end, areas of slight wear, corroded black, localised repairs, selvages replaced
