Four page, 6"x9", in-house publication for the Frontenac Hotel located in the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence in New York. Reported are comings and goings of the guests, a fishing derby, baseball games, personals, "The Regatta," Golf, "A Jolly Crowd," and "Brieflets," such as, "Mr. Lukenbach's speedy steam yacht, 'Now Then,' reached the New Frontenac dock Monday." "Vegetable oddity...curious conglomerate growth of four tomatoes and weighed nearly two pounds." A fascinating hotel collectible. Fold crease, and small stain to back. The graphic shows but a detail. |
10-3. Racing card, Bermuda Spring Meeting, 1889. "Under the patronage of Lieut. Gen. Edward Newgate and Vice Admiral G.W. Watson, R.N., and the 1st Leicestershire Regt." Four pages, 2 pages is the racing card, "Maiden Stakes, Visitors Cup, Polo Stakes, Bermuda Hunt Cup, Champion Stakes, Army and Navy Cup, Bermuda Stakes, Consolation Stakes, The Ladies Purse." Last page is "Rules and Regulations, "plus the "Band Programme," performed by the 1st Battn., Leicestershire Regiment Band. Folds, otherwise fine condition.

Hall, are hereby notified and warned to appear on parade at the Town House, Manchester Centre..." Dated Manchester, May 14, 1841, signed by Albert G. Corning, Private. Excellent condition, right margin somewhat ragged from order being torn from pad. |

10-7. Important Exposition item. "Panama Pacific International Exposition, San Francisco, 1915" promotional booklet, copyright 1914 by Panama Pacific International Exposition Co. 7"x10 1/2", 56 pages, plus covers, 8 center fold pages in color, covers in color, great color. On front cover is a fabulous illustration, "The Thirteenth Labor of Hercules," allegory for the Panama Canal. Back cover shows a night view of the Exposition grounds lit by "electrical illumination." Inside, among many other things are perspectives of the Panama Canal, the Exposition grounds (2 page color) and the Bay area from Mount Shasta to the north, Lake Tahoe to the west and Bakersfield to the south. Tiny inclusions in top, left, and bottom of front cover due to the fact that the cover was designed to overlap the booklet by a 1/4" on those edges, otherwise excellent condition.

![]() | 10/8. 1888 "Souvenir Itinerary for an excursion from Boston on the Fitchburg Railroad through New Hampshire, Vermont, upstate New York, via Delaware and Hudson Canal Co. Railroad, down the Hudson River on the Hudson River Day Line steamer to New York City, then to Fall River, Mass., on the Steamer Bristol, and back to Boston, all over five days. Booklet includes, program for a concert in the "Grand Saloon" of the Steamer Bristol, detailed day by day travel itinerary, list of 498 "Compagnons du Voyage" (passenger list) with home towns, and an engraving of a scene in a coffee plantation with the message, "May this Souvenir, extended you with our best wishes, be a reminder of a jolly good time, Your Friends, Chase & Sanborn." Front cover is a charming piece of artwork, two owls sitting on a branch under a quarter moon, embossed, 4 3/4"x7 1/2." |
10-9. Hood's Sarsaparilla Painting Book, 1894, 36 pages plus covers. Double illustrations, one colored, the other uncolored. Book die-cut in shape of painter's palette. Cover stained and page 36 and back inside cover stained, apparently by a newspaper clipping enclosure which is now missing. This is a lovely piece.
